About Our Legion
Welcome to Harold W. Townsend Post 1757 in Sackets Harbor, New York!
Established in 1949, our American Legion post has been a cornerstone of our historic lakeside community for over 75 years. We are proud to serve our veterans, active military members, and their families while strengthening the bonds that make Sackets Harbor such a special place to call home.
As a community-minded organization, we're dedicated to honoring those who have served our country while creating meaningful connections among neighbors and friends.
Our Post is more than just a meeting place; it's where community happens. From fundraising events like our popular Bash-4-Cash to volunteer opportunities and family-friendly gatherings, there's always something happening at Post 1757.
We're home to an active American Legion Family, including our Sons of the American Legion, Auxiliary, and American Legion Riders programs, ensuring that multiple generations can participate in service and camaraderie. Whether you're a veteran looking for fellowship, a family member seeking support, or a community member wanting to give back, you'll find a warm welcome here.
We invite you to stop by, get involved, and become part of our Legion family. For more information, call us at (315) 646-3530 or connect with us on Facebook.
